Crosstrail Masterplan
The Crosstrail masterplan proposes to transform underutilized industrial land into a balanced and sustainable community capable of driving economic development in southern Leesburg over the next generation. Encompassing more than 200 hectares, Crosstrail's masterplan lays out a range of research and manufacturing, office, retail, and housing uses including a mixed-use village center to anchor the community and provide a sense of identity. Based on traditional neighborhood design principles, the masterplan calls for compact, pedestrian-oriented blocks, with intermingled commercial and residential uses, a variety of housing types, and public places where people will have opportunities to socialize and engage in civic life. As a Senior Landscape Architect / Planner responsible for masterplanning and entitlement plan processing, I collaborated on the development of Crosstrail's masterplan.
